I have a Toshiba Satellite C660 laptop running Windows 7 home premium and a Samsung C24B750X monitor. They are connected via a USB cable and all is fine.

I upgraded my laptop to Windows 10 but now find the monitor does not work, no matter what settings / resolutions I use. Universal Adb Driver Windows 10 on this page. It is not picking up the display from the laptop, whether in duplicate, extend or 2nd screen mode. I have a second laptop (Samsung) running Windows 10; that one doesn't work with the monitor either, whereas it did before.

I've tried updating the drivers for the monitor and display, but I am told the drivers are the latest versions. Samsung Customer Support helpfully referred me to Microsoft Customer Support and after over 30 minutes on hold to 0344 800 2400 I received no response. I have since rolled back the Windows 10 installation to Windows 7 again and everything works fine! So clearly a Windows 10 issue. How can it be resolved??
