SATA AHCI Driver for Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7, Vista, XP. Driver Talent. Acer Aspire 7339 Intel SATA AHCI Preinstall Driver 10.1.0.1008 for Windows 7 64-bit.

Hey gang, I'm having some current controller/ssd issues after recently installing windows 10 coming from windows 7 prof 64bit. My Samsung SSD was working perfect with 7 and had no problems. Once I upgraded to 10 I'm finding a few issues sleeping/resuming and shutting down/restarting.

I have a feeling this is because I have no viable AHCI driver installed. My computer only boots under IDE in Bios, so as you can imagine, the functionality of my drive is severely impacted from a performance standpoint. I've even tried to re-install my old AHCI driver that was supplied with my computer, but this too, will not install as windows says my net framework or intel rapid storage tech is not installed. (net framework 4.5 is installed I think natively, but intel rapid storage will not install) (in device manager, this is how my disk is being represented) I'm using a Lenovo b570 1068 laptop from 2011, and can find no resources with a viable windows 10 AHCI driver.

Lenovo has provided an ahci driver, but trying to manually install with windows device manager continually tells me that the most up to date driver has been installed. Intel driver update utility offers no relief either. If anyone could offer any assistance or brainstorming on how to resolve this that would be excellent! I'm enjoying using 10 so far, but would find it even better if I could resolve these issues impacting my performance. All the best, DJ. ***UPDATE*** after enabling AHCI in bios and booting in and out of safe mode I have successfully updated and enabled my AHCI driver. Things are much smoother now.

The only problem that remains is shutting down, sleeping, and restarting. When I choose either of these options all of the components shut down (monitor, SSD, etc.) but the power button remains on and the fan continues to spin until I hold down the power button to completely shut down the entire system- thoughts? Is this issue something that may be resolved with future fixes/updates? Thanks guys, DJ.
