HI all, I just installed Windows 10 Technical Preview Evaluation build 9841 64-bit. Looking through Device Manager I noticed that all the devices except for one unknown device [UD] were installed and in working order. Looking at the details for the UD it showed Hardware ID as follows: ACPI VEN_HPQ&DEV_0004 ACPI HPQ0004 *HPQ0004 This is the HP DriveGuard, which needs a driver to work the on board [G-force] sensor which protects the HDD by parking its heads when the notebook receives a physical shock such as a knock or is dropped etc. I already had a copy of the most recent driver I could find from hp, v4.2.9.1 REV: A which installed OK and corrected the status for the UD. For folks with the same sensor and find the same UD in Device Manager, here's the link to download the HP 3D DriveGuard driver v4.2.9.1 REV: A from hp: This is the description for the driver: This driver is for Vista, Win 7-8-8.1 and although it is not stated in the description it does work on Win 10, 32-bit or 64-bit. If your driver isn't working, use the driver having the same OEM with the your laptop/desktop brand name.
