The product comes with a mini DSP-like array of features that allows you to tune the sound stage the way you would like it to sound. This means that you will never be constrained by the recording quality of any MP3 song or game as you would be able to tune the sound accordingly. However, even if you leave everything at default settings, the sound is already enhanced as compared to the onboard sound chip/card of your notebook/PC. This product is best matched to a 5.1 sound system.

I was using a system (low budget at $55) with a 25 watt RMS subwoofer and the highs and lows, clarity and deep bass from the system has blown my friends away when played as it matches and even surpassed systems that would cost ten times more. They simply could not comprehend that music can sound so good with strong separation of channels and enhanced through stereo surround from 5 speakers. THe whole front area becomes a huge sound stage.

The Sound Blaster X-Fi HD is a USB audiophile. Works with Windows 8. We have updated audio drivers that will allow you. Microsoft® Windows® 10, Windows. Download the latest drivers for your Creative SB X-Fi to keep your Computer up-to-date. Mar 19, 2015 I am using Windows 10 build 9926. When i try to install the drivers for my soundblaster x-fi titanium fatal1ty pro it says it.

The pinnacle of sound came when I managed to hook up a Cambridge Soundworks 5.1 megaworks with THX Certification and 500 watts of pure RMS power. Though old technology and already a defunct model, the whole setup made the same group of friends realise that you do not have to spent thousands to enjoy incredible sound. This also has caused them to rethink about going wireless when analogue can actually sound so good. My only grouse is that it would be great if the product can be a little smaller and come with a retractable/adjustable USB connection.

The one given is a little too long. Highly recommended with 5.1 setup.

Best regards 73cuagn Ben. Creative has updated the drivers for many of their old audio cards for use in Windows 10. If you do have one, you can grab the latest Windows 10 drivers for old cards, though they are still working on rolling out some of the updates. I’ve just updated my own Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Extreme Audio card driver. I bought the card when Vista came out in 2007. It was working fine in 10, it’s always nice to have the proper drivers for Windows 10 though. A nice move from Creative to support legacy cards.

After installing, you may have to check the computer Sound settings to ensure your card is set as the default sound device. (Go to Search in taskbar >type 'Sound' >select the Sound Control Panel and check/ change the settings if required). Epson Stylus Photo 1400 Driver Windows 10 on this page. Then also check the configuration for your speakers. The default install setting seems to be 7.1, which can make 2.0/ 2.1 speakers sound distorted.

Just change the speaker config setting to 2.0/ 2.1 if that's the case. I have been abducted.

I've downloaded the proper Creative Sound Blaster (for xtremegamer) driver several times, can't get sound. Uninstalled and reinstalled the driver, still can't get sound. I do have the sound card selected as enabled and as the default device. I know the system is still working because at one point, when first installed Windows 10, sound came out of the speakers using the Microsoft speaker controls, but 5.1 surround wouldn't properly control the sound. Then I installed the Creative driver for 10, and can't get any sound, even when I remove the driver.

Microsoft need help! I'm afraid if I roll back to Windows 7 after all this trouble my sound card still will mysteriously not work.
